About the DJI Mini 3
Four years on, the Mini 3 still owns a sweet spot: the biggest sensor and longest flight time you can get under 250g for around £300. The 1/1.3-inch chip with its f/1.7 aperture gathers roughly twice the light of the Mini 4K's sensor — cleaner dusk shots, better dynamic range, and 48MP stills with real cropping room. The gimbal rotates 90° for true vertical shooting, still a rarity at this price and a gift for social content.
Rated at 38 minutes per battery (28–30 in practice), it also stays up longer than anything in its class. There is no obstacle avoidance or tracking — this is a photographer's drone, not a gadget — and that is exactly why it remains so easy to recommend.
