DJI's official neutral density filter set for the Mini 3 series gives you three strengths — ND16, ND64 and ND256 — that screw straight onto the gimbal without upsetting its balance. ND filters act like sunglasses for your camera: by cutting the light hitting the sensor, they let you follow the 180-degree shutter rule (shutter speed at double your frame rate) even in bright sunshine, which is what gives aerial footage that smooth, cinematic motion blur instead of a jittery, over-sharp look.
ND16 suits overcast days and golden hour, ND64 covers typical British daylight, and ND256 is for harsh midday sun or long-exposure stills of waterfalls and traffic. Being the official set, fit and optical coating are guaranteed to match the Mini 3's F1.7 lens, and each filter weighs so little the gimbal calibrates normally. If you shoot mostly photos you can skip these; if you shoot video, they're the single biggest image-quality upgrade you can buy.
