About the DJI Mini 4K
The Mini 4K is the drone we recommend when someone asks "what should my first drone be?" It takes the proven Mini airframe — 246g, folds to palm size, survives beginner landings — and pairs it with a true 4K camera on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, the feature that separates real camera drones from toys. Footage in good light is crisp and stable, hovering is rock solid, and Level 5 wind resistance shrugs off blustery British days.
What it lacks is deliberate: no obstacle avoidance, no subject tracking, no HDR. Learn on it in open spaces and none of that matters. With 31-minute batteries, 10km-class transmission and DJI's excellent app and tutorials, it is quietly excellent at everything a first drone actually needs to do.
