About the DJI Flip
The Flip answers a question the Neo raised: what if the safe, palm-launching drone also had a proper camera? Its four propellers sit inside fold-out guard cages, so it is safe around people and forgiving of mistakes, yet the camera is the same class as a Mini 3/Mini 4 Pro — a 1/1.3-inch 48MP sensor on a true 3-axis gimbal shooting 4K/60 HDR.
It palm-launches, tracks subjects, and flies without a controller for quick clips, but pairs with an RC for real piloting. Forward 3D obstacle sensing covers the direction that matters most for tracking shots. The trade-off is bulk and wind: the cage adds drag, so it is happier as a people-camera than a landscape machine on an exposed hillside.
