Corrie Fee, Glen Clova

A textbook glacial hanging valley at the head of Glen Clova in the Angus glens — a great green amphitheatre of crags with a waterfall spilling over the back wall. From the Glen Doll forest car park it's a short walk to the mouth of the corrie, where a climb-out reveals the full ice-carved bowl; a slow forward push into the corrie gives you a dramatic reveal of the headwall falls. It's one of the best 'hidden Scotland' shots in the east and stays remarkably quiet. The catch: Corrie Fee is a NatureScot National Nature Reserve protecting rare arctic-alpine plants and cliff-nesting birds, so treat it with care — keep well back from the crags, avoid the spring/summer breeding window for anything you see nesting, and don't land on the fragile flora. Wind rotors tumbling off the headwall make the inner corrie turbulent; fly conservatively and keep line of sight up the glen. Access rights cover TOAL from the forest track, and there's no airport FRZ near — Dundee is ~40km south. Boggy ground, so pick a firm launch pad.
