Aberdaron

Aberdaron sits at the very tip of the Llyn Peninsula, a whitewashed village on a sweeping bay that looks out toward Bardsey Island across the tide race of the sound. It's a wonderful end-of-the-world location: the medieval church almost on the beach, a curving sand-and-shingle strand, and dramatic headlands either side. The village beach car park is community/council-run, and the beach foreshore is Crown Estate, so recreational take-off and landing from the sand is legal - but note the National Trust owns much of the surrounding headland (Porth Meudwy, Mynydd Mawr), so launch from the beach, not the clifftop NT land. There's no airport FRZ here. Do be aware the Aberporth/Cardigan Bay unmanned-aircraft danger areas lie offshore to the south across the bay (well over 20km away), so they won't affect a coastal flight but are worth knowing. This is chough and seabird country with grey seals in the coves, so keep out over open water and off the cliffs, especially spring through autumn. Summer brings crowds to the little village, so a shoulder-season golden hour is the sweet spot for a clean, uncluttered launch.
